LI man charged in fatal hit-and-run of celebrity jeweler

A Valley Stream man was arrested Thursday in connection with the deadly hit-and-run that killed a celebrity jeweler in Queens earlier in the month.
Police say Charles Jordan, 46, of Valley Stream, ran down Aron Aranbayev, 40, in a road rage incident in Forest Hills, Queens.
Jordan was arrested after an auto body shop working on his damaged Dodge Magnum called police.
Aranbayev had been arguing with a motorist in front of his home shortly before the driver ran him down.
A Dodge Magnum then sped away, and Aranbayev fell to the ground, hit his head on the pavement and died. The incident was caught on surveillance video.
The Diamond District jeweler's A-list customers included Floyd Mayweather and Sean "Diddy" Combs.
Jordan, who authorities say is an MTA train operator, is facing several charges including murder, manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident.
