Vandals target cars on Bay Shore-Islip border
Residents near the border of Bay Shore and Islip say that vandals have targeted several cars in their neighborhood.
Suffolk police admit there's been a rash of broken car windows. They say there were six cases on July 24 and July 25.
Police say someone set a car on fire earlier last week. The car was destroyed and another one nearby was damaged.
Police have stepped up patrols in the area, but residents say they would like to see more done.
Homeowners organized a community watch, but they plan to meet to figure out what other action can be taken.
