LI native Craig Biggio inducted into Hall of Fame

Kings Park native Craig Biggio is officially in the baseball history books.

News 12 Long Island's Kevin Maher was at Biggio's Hall of Fame induction in Cooperstown yesterday.

During his 17-minute speech, Biggio spoke about growing up in Kings Park, being a two-sport star in high school and how being good at sports turned him into a really bad Newsday paperboy.

The seven time all-star thanked his Long Island roots for setting the tone of his career.

Biggio was the first Houston Astro to ever be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Biggio joined Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez and John Smoltz as the class of 2015.
