MTA proposal could affect train fares
A new policy proposal from the MTA could affect train fares for commuters.
The MTA may do away with the stop-over courtesy which allows riders to get off at a station before their end destination and re-board later in the day.
The agency may also stop honoring some tickets for up to four hours before and after they are officially valid.
It may also raise the price of a special ticket sold at Penn Station for the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, from $7 to $10.
The MTA board is expected to vote on the changes tomorrow.
