Masked robber shot 7-Eleven clerk with BB gun
A masked robber shot a 7-Eleven clerk with a BB gun in Hauppauge early Monday morning, News 12 has learned.
Investigators say the suspect entered the store on Townline Road shortly before 2 a.m. and demanded cash. He then fired the BB gun at the store clerk.
The clerk handed over cash from the drawer, and the suspect then fled on foot. He was last seen headed west on Townline Road.
Police say the clerk suffered a minor injury, and was treated and released from Stony Brook University Hospital.
The suspect is described as 6 feet tall with a thin build. He wore a black-hooded sweatshirt, black pants, a mask and sunglasses.
