Hearing postponed for 2 suspects in SSP crash

The men accused in a two-vehicle crash that killed two children and their father on the Southern State Parkway were scheduled to appear in court Friday for a hearing, but the hearing was postponed.

O'Niel Sharpe Jr., 24, was allegedly drunk when he rear-ended the Ostane family's car early Sunday and then fled the scene as the family's vehicle burst into flames.

Ancio Ostane, 37, was killed. His wife, Lucnie Bouaz-Ostane, escaped. The couple's two children, 8-year-old Andy and 4-year-old Sephora, died in the crash.

Demetri Stewart, 23, will also appear in court Friday. He is accused of helping Sharpe flee the scene.

Funeral services are planned for Saturday at St. Teresa of Avila Roman Catholic Church on Sterling Place in Brooklyn.
