Bicyclists ride for military veterans

Hundreds of bicycle riders hit the streets Friday for a charity event for military veterans.

More than 1,000 bicyclists rode from Babylon Town Hall to Overlook Beach to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project's eighth annual "Soldier Ride."

Chopper 12 was above bicyclists as they rode through Lindenhurst.

Friday was day two of the three-day event, which started Thursday in Manhattan. It will end Saturday in Amagansett.

The Wounded Warrior Project offers support for veterans with physical and psychological injuries.
