East Meadow man drowns in PA lake

Police say an East Meadow man drowned in a Pennsylvania lake over the weekend.

According to police, Gabriel Pierro was found face down in Paupackan Lake in northeastern Pennsylvania.

Police say the 29-year-old was discovered by a fisherman around 9:15 Sunday.

The lake is on a private development where Pierro and his family have a summer home.

A full-time resident at the lake says he saw people on the deck behind the Pierro family's home Sunday evening.

It is not clear exactly what happened to Pierro, but neighbors doubt he was going for a swim.

An autopsy is now being performed on Pierro.
