Police seek help to solve 3 Hempstead murders

Police are asking the public's help solving three murders in Hempstead in the past week.

Victor Benitez, 28, was gunned down early Saturday morning outside a Deli on Clinton Street in Hempstead.

Just hours earlier, Geraud Hill, of Malverne, was shot in the head on Chase Street. The 30-year-old tried to drive for help, but died and crashed his car into a home.

Both murders came days after Jonathan Wade was shot and killed Tuesday night, after police say he called 911 about disorderly people gathered at his mother's property.

News 12 has reported, after being shot Wade crashed his car into a middle school fence.

Anyone with information on any of the murders is urged to call Nassau Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
