LIers hit the roads, skies for July Fourth getaway

Long Islanders are hitting the roads and the skies to make the most of their Fourth of July weekend.
AAA predicts nearly 42 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more to celebrate. Thirty-five million are traveling by car, with gas prices down and car sales up. It's the busiest Independence Day travel since 2007.
Security is also a little tighter all over the country and on the Island. Homeland Security has warned terrorists may target places with large crowds.
Suffolk police assure they are all on high alert. Nassau police have extra uniform patrols and SWAT teams out at major events.
