Suspect wanted in Nassau bank robberies

Police are searching for the suspect who robbed a bank in Hicksville yesterday and is believed to be linked to another Nassau robbery.

According to detectives, a black male suspect entered a Chase Bank located on N. Broadway yesterday and approached a teller window.

Police say the suspect produced a demand note and verbally threatened the use of a firearm. The teller complied, giving the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect was last seen on foot going southbound on N. Broadway. No injuries were reported.

Police say they believe the suspect is the same from a bank robbery that occurred on Saturday in Rockville Centre.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
