Police say a man tried to snatch a 5-year-old boy away from his mother at a bus stop on Post Avenue in Westbury.
Police say that when 35-year-old Prateek Pokhrel, of New Hyde Park, couldn't pull the boy away, he boarded a bus.
Officers eventually stopped the vehicle and they say there was a struggle on board as they arrested him.
One officer fractured his hand during the arrest.
