A man convicted of shooting a Nassau County police officer was sentenced today.
Cong Xu was sentenced to 30 years in prison for shooting officer Mohit Arora two years ago.
The incident occurred during a burglary on Campbell Street in New Hyde Park.
Officer Arora was critically injured and is still recovering, but he has returned to full duty.
As part of a deal, Xu pleaded guilty to assault and burglary.
