Police: Thief swiped donation jar from Islip store

Police are asking the public's help in finding the thief who swiped donations for at-risk children from a Suffolk store.

Police say the man took the jar from the counter at The Nook and Cranny Store on Main Street in Islip in April.

According to police, the $75 in the jar was supposed to go toward the Marcie Mazzola Foundation, which helps at-risk kids.

Anyone with info is asked to call Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS
