Police: Woman sent harassing letters, damaged a car

An East Meadow woman is accused of slashing tires in her community and mailing harassing letters to people in the area.
Judith McGlone, 50, was arrested after a joint investigation between Nassau police and the FBI Joint Task Force.
According to court documents obtained by News 12, McGlone is accused of writing and sending nine letters to various victims in East Meadow. Court papers show the letters began in April 2012 and continued until December 2014. Some of the letters allegedly contained confectioners' sugar, a condom sealed in the wrapper, five shotgun shells and unidentified pills.
According to court papers, McGlone also caused $1,000 in damages to a vehicle at a home on Spring Street. She's accused of puncturing the sidewall tire with a knife and scratching the paint on the rear passenger side door.
Neighbors in the area told News 12 that other cars were also damaged.
McGlone was arraigned and a judge released her on her own recognizance. She is due back in court on June 8.
