A Uniondale doctor is trying to determine why three cars have crashed into his Uniondale Avenue office.

The latest crash occurred Tuesday after a female senior citizen drove onto the sidewalk and into his office. After crashing up against the building, the car later burst into flames.

A nearby firefighter was able to put the fire out relatively quickly. The incident was caught on the office surveillance video.

Police say they did not ticket the driver.

Dr. Ebenezer Essuman says that Uniondale Avenue has become a busy street, connecting the Southern State Parkway and Hofstra University. Police say the roadway has seen 145 accidents last year alone. Besides heavy traffic, News 12 observed many drivers going over the 30 mph speed limit.

Dr. Essuman says he is considering building a sturdier fence outside his office.
