Police: 1 injured in crash on LIE

Police say one person was injured in a crash on the Long Island Expressway Sunday morning.

Officers say a car went off the road just east of Exit 62 in Holtsville at around 4 a.m.

The car crashed into some trees and then caught fire.

Investigators say the driver, who has not been identified, was able to escape on his own and was hospitalized.

The driver was later arrested, but police have not yet said what charges he may face.
