Mom accused of attacking child’s teacher in court

A Hempstead mom accused of attacking her child's teacher was back in court Thursday.

Annika McKenzie had nothing to say to News 12 cameras as she walked out of court.

Prosecutors say McKenzie choked and hit a teacher at a Hempstead Middle School last month.

McKenzie says that teacher, Catherine Englehardt, grabbed McKenzie's daughter.

McKenzie is facing assault charges and is due back in court next month.
