Bethpage students build 'hurricane houses'
Some Bethpage students learned an important lesson about the power of weather Tuesday.
Students at Charles Campagne Elementary School were given 15 minutes to build the most structurally sound house out of paper, masking tape, tooth picks, Popsicle sticks and clay.
The homes then faced the wrath of teacher Lorraine Marcis' leaf blower to see if it could withstand a cruel wind.
The students have been learning about weather, clouds and monster storms. They have even made their own weather instruments.
