Isles beat Capitals to force Game 7

The Islanders beat the Washington Capitals 3-1 to force a Game 7 in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Game 7 will be played in Washington on Monday. The winner of this round will head to round two to face the Rangers, who beat the Penguins in five games.
Saturday's game could have marked the last time the Isles take the ice at the Old Barn. As News 12 has reported, after this season the Islanders are moving to Brooklyn. The Nassau Coliseum will be shuttered to undergo extensive renovations.
Nassau police had said there would be increased patrols around the Coliseum for Saturday's game after reports of fans trying to steal seats and using aggressive behavior.
