A fourth-grader was suspended after allegedly bringing a pellet gun to a North Babylon school.

Police say they were called to William E. Deluca Junior Elementary on Tuesday, and they confiscated the pellet gun.

District officials say the 9-year-old student was spotted with the airsoft gun in his backpack. A letter was sent home to parents about the incident.

At this time no criminal charges have been filed.
