A man pleaded guilty Friday in the murder of a Lynbrook teen.
Max Sherman pleaded guilty to murder in the second degree.
Prosecutors say Sherman strangled and sexually abused Lauren Daverin, 18, two years ago. Daverin's partially clothed body was found on a footbridge in Rockville Centre.
Daverin's mother was very emotional in court and said she is happy that justice will be served for her daughter.
Sherman faces up to 18 years to life in prison when he is sentenced June 11.
