News 12 Long Island has learned that three men accused in the Islip toxic dumping scandal are being offered plea deals.
According to Newsday, Thomas Datre Jr., his father Thomas Datre Sr. and Christopher Grabe of Islandia Recycling are those expected to receive the plea deals.
About 50,000 tons of asbestos-filled debris was dumped in Roberto Clemente Park in Brentwood. In addition, contaminated waste was also dumped at a veterans housing complex and sites in Central Islip and Deer Park.
