Motorcyclist dies after Medford crash

Police say a biker who slammed into tractor-trailer in Medford has died.

According to police, Leonard Mastro, 53, of Holtsville, was driving west on Long Island Avenue around 8 p.m. last night when the incident occurred.

Police say the tractor-trailer in front of the cyclist made a wide right turn, swinging left into the road first. The motorcyclist then crashed into the back, throwing the biker off, according to investigators.

The biker died at the hospital, according to police.
