Inwood man pleads guilty to sex abuse, hiring hit man
An Inwood man pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges that included hiring a hit man to kill a teen he sexually abused in 2012.
Prosecutors say Daniel Miller, 47, drugged and sexually abused a teenage boy that worked in his religious book store.
While in jail, Miller admitted to trying to hire someone to kill the 17-year-old to keep him from testifying against him.
He pleaded guilty to a total of 41 charges, including kidnapping, sexual abuse and conspiracy to commit murder.
Prosecutors say the judge agreed to sentence Miller to nine years in prison. They had asked the court to sentence Miller to a maximum of 18 years.
He is due back in court for sentencing on June 4.
Miller also pleaded guilty to grand larceny charges for stealing more than $200,000 by passing bad checks.
