Long Islanders arrived in Washington on Monday to demand sick Sept. 11 heroes keep getting support for their failing health.
The Zadroga Act provides money for Ground Zero responders to pay for their health care, but parts of the fund expire in October and other parts expire next year.
Supporters from the FealGood Foundation are fighting to see the funding extended for another two decades.
