2 arrested after getaway car slams into florist shop

Police say two people have been arrested for an alleged home burglary after the getaway car crashed into a florist shop in Shirley.
The crash happened Sunday at around 2 p.m. Police say a Chevrolet vehicle slammed into the Flowers by Floyd Harbor shop just off William Floyd Parkway.
The owner says he was inside the shop at the time doing a consultation about centerpieces for a bride and groom when they heard a loud boom. No one inside the shop was injured.
Four young men were seen fleeing on foot after the crash. The owner of the florist shop says the groom tried to chase one of the suspects down.
Police say the car that crashed matched the description of a vehicle that was spotted at the scene of a home burglary.
Two people were later arrested. They have not been identified.
