Police are searching for a driver who struck a man with his truck in Mastic and then fled the scene.

Investigators say 34-year-old Justin Collins was standing next to a neighbor's car and speaking to the neighbor on Wood Avenue Saturday night. A pickup truck struck Collins at around 8:30 p.m., and police say the driver left the scene.

Collins was taken by police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital. Police say his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Officers are now looking for a dark-colored pickup truck.
