1 arrested after reports of shots fired at Setauket home

Police say one person has been arrested after neighbors reported hearing gunshots coming from a Setauket home early Saturday morning.

It happened at 291 Old Town Road. Neighbors say they heard seven shots ring out at around 5 a.m.

Police say one person is being charged with reckless endangerment. The person's identity has not been released.

No one was injured.

Neighbors say that the two-story colonial home is rented by Stony Brook University students, and they say the home was actually robbed two weeks ago. It is unclear if that robbery is related in any way to the early morning gunfire.
