Islanders fall to Blue Jackets in last regular-season game at Coliseum
The Columbus Blue Jackets came back from behind to beat the Islanders 5-4 in a shootout during the last regular-season game at Nassau Coliseum.
A win would have clinched home-ice advantage in the Islanders first-round playoff matchup against the Washington Capitals.
Many fans in the sellout crowd arrived early to tailgate and bid a fond farewell to the Coliseum.
The Islanders have played at Nassau Coliseum since entering the NHL in 1972.
