Woman pleads not guilty to hate crime in burglary case

One of two suspects charged with a hate crime in a burglary case pleaded not guilty today.

Heather Marchese pleaded not guilty to targeting the elderly.

Marchese and Sean DiStefano allegedly entered a Greenlawn woman's home last month by pretending to collect church donations. Police say they then stole the woman's tablet computer.

DiStefano is due in court Friday.
