Month of Green: Taking the stairs can prevent weight gain and help the environment

In today's Month of Green segment, we show you one small step you can take at work!



No matter what the pace, stair climbing is a great addition to your exercise plan. It doesn't require any special equipment and can be done just about anywhere.



Studies have found walking up the stairs just two minutes a day can help prevent weight gain. 



It also helps the planet! Any energy saved is good for the environment.



If you think it's just a small amount of energy - you're right - but if everyone who could take the stairs did take the stairs, we'd see some significant energy savings.
