Possible gas leak prompts school evacuation
Students and faculty at an elementary school in Glen Cove were evacuated Friday over fears of a possible gas leak.
Students and staff were relocated from Gribbin Elementary School on Seaman Road to a nearby middle school just before noon.
Police are investigating.
The incident comes the day after an apparent gas explosion caused a building to burn and collapse in New York City.
