Ultimate Ducks fans camp out for tickets
One Setauket family knew they might be braving cold temperatures when they planned their campout for Ducks season tickets this year, but they didn't expect it to snow on the first day of Spring!
The Czark family arrived Thursday morning at Bethpage Ballpark, nearly 50 hours before tickets go on sale for the 2015 season. Christopher, his wife Sharon and their children, 8-year-olds Brianna and Kaylin and 13-year-old Patrick, set up a tent and chairs outside the West Gate of the stadium. For their stay, they brought sleeping bags, food, warm blankets, games and, of course, baseball mitts. They didn't think they'd need a shovel, but the stadium is ready for that!
Tickets go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. at the box office. Of course, the Czar family will be first in line to get them. But starting at 8 a.m. there will be music and games for all fans waiting for tickets at the ballpark. Quacker Jack will be on hand around 9:45 a.m. to join in the festivities and probably warm fans up!
This is the second year in a row the Czar family was first in line for tickets.
