Snow falls for start of spring on LI

Long Island is getting smacked with snow despite it being the start of spring.



A winter weather advisory is in effect for Nassau and Suffolk counties through Saturday at 2 a.m. Moderate to heavy snow will push across Long Island this evening.



Snow totals are expected to be around 3 to 5 inches.



Temperatures will be hovering in the low 30s tonight. This weekend should see temperatures in the 40s.
