Crews fill potholes on Nassau's major roadways
Motorists who spoke to News 12 say they were thrilled to see road crews filling in potholes along Nassau's major roadways Wednesday.
The pothole problem has been an ongoing concern after the harsh winter took its toll on roads.
As News 12 reported Tuesday, a Riverhead man was killed after police say his motorcycle hit a pothole.
Sheila Gilman, of Jericho, called the potholes "really scary."
"You feel like you're going into a swimming pool. They're very deep," said Gilman.
The state Department of Transportation told News 12 that crews filled in potholes on the Northern and Southern State parkways, the Long Island Expressway, Sunrise Highway, Route 135 and other state roads Wednesday.
