Fire destroys East Farmingdale linen factory

Officials are investigating a fire that gutted an East Farmingdale linen factory.



A & S Coat and Apron Supply on Marine Street went up in flames around 10:30 p.m. last night.



Fire officials say it took several hours for crews to contain the fire.



Babylon town officials say they were forced to tear down the building's remains.



The owner of the business says all files and invoices were destroyed in the fire, and they are not sure where they will go from here.



Officials say two firefighters were sent to the hospital due to high blood pressure. Both are expected to be OK.
