PSEG LI: 6,400 outages restored after high winds

PSEG Long Island told News 12 that it restored 6,400 wind-related power outages after winds reached 55 mph Tuesday.

Crews had planned to work overnight to restore any lingering outages.

The wind gusts were strong enough to make a utility pole in Dix Hills lean over on Deer Park Avenue.

The incident forced the closure of the nearby ramp from the Northern State Parkway.
