Plane safely returns to JFK Airport after bird strike
(AP) Authorities say a plane has safely returned to Kennedy Airport after a bird strike.
Reports says American Airlines Flight 1320 struck a bird just after 8:45 a.m. Tuesday.
The pilot turned back to Kennedy about 10 minutes after takeoff.
The plane was heading to St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The 135 passengers were being put on another plane.
