Long Beach chorus pumped for NYCB Theatre performance
The Long Beach Middle School chorus is gearing up for the opportunity of a lifetime to perform alongside two renowned international artists.
Members of the chorus have been busy rehearsing for when they take the stage at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury. They will be background singers for Andy Cooney and Marissa Famiglietti.
The students are very excited. David Newman says he has been auditioning and working very hard. He says he hopes to someday be an actor.
That news is exactly what Kathleen Mucciolo wants to hear. Mucciolo is the musical artist who created the not-for-profit Music and Theatre Legacy Foundation in 2009. The goal of the foundation is to encourage a new generation to get interested in the arts.
There are still tickets available for the March 16 performance.
