Nearly two dozen puppies are looking for homes after a pet shop went out of business.
A total of 22 puppies were taken in by the Great Neck Dog and Cat Hospital.
The hospital is holding an adoption event on Sunday to help the animals find forever homes. The pooches were cleaned and primped on Saturday to get them ready for the big day.
Among the dogs are pure breeds and mixed breeds, and they range in age from 15 weeks to 25 weeks old. The hospital is offering an adoption package for $300 that includes veterinary care until the dogs are 1 year old, plus vaccinations and neutering procedures.
People who are interested can visit the hospital to meet the puppies and fill out an adoption application.
