You may know the first video ever to play on MTV in 1981, but do you know the second?
Those who attended the Pat Benatar/Neil Giraldo show at the Paramount in Huntington found out the interesting trivia tidbit on Wednesday evening.
Giraldo and Benatar continue to be a strong team, performing massive hits from the ‘80s. The packed and enthusiastic crowd sang along to almost every song, including “We Belong, “Hell Is for Children,” “You Better Run,” “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” and “Love is a Battlefield.”
Benatar and Giraldo also did an acoustic version of “Promises in the Dark.”
Benatar said that a musical production she has been working on will soon be headed to Broadway, and gave the audience a preview of one of its songs during the encore.
Melissa Etheridge, who performed before Benatar, also had the crowd dancing and singing to her hits, including “Come To My Window,” “Bring Me Some Water” and “I’m The Only One.”
