UNIONDALE - The last regular season matchup between the Islanders and Rangers at Nassau Coliseum ended with the Rangers on top 2-1. 

The two teams have been battling back and forth for first place.

Rick Nash scored a goal for the Rangers, and Cam Talbot made 29 saves. Anders Lee scored the Islanders' only goal.

The Rangers won 6-5 the last time the teams met. Before that, the Islanders had won each game between the two this season.

If the teams don't meet up in the playoffs, it will be their last meeting ever at the Coliseum. The first time the two teams ever played at the Coliseum was in 1972.
