The SPCA is searching for the person who shot a kitten in Nassau.
Officials say they spotted the injured kitten in Massapequa earlier this month. The 9-week-old animal had been shot with a pellet gun.
Officials say because of its injuries, the kitten later had to be euthanized. A reward of $1,500 is being offered.
Anyone with information is being asked to call the Nassau Country SPCA at 516-THE-SPCA.
