The Suffolk SPCA is offering a $2,000 reward for help finding the suspect who threw a kitten from a moving car in Deer Park.
The SPCA says it happened around 3:30 p.m. Monday in front of the Olympic Diner on Route 231.
A witness says they saw the kitten thrown from a car that appeared to be a black Chevy Impala. The kitten survived but was killed after being struck by a car.
Roy Gross, of the Suffolk SPCA, says the suspect faces animal cruelty and abandonment charges. They can also face jail time and fines.
