Police say a Southampton man was killed when a plane plunged into a San Diego home.
The fiery crash happened when a single-engine plane hit a house and burst into flames Saturday in San Diego.
Robert Stelling, owner of the Southampton Peconic Beach and Tennis Club, died in the crash.
Stelling's wife Dawn was injured, but was expected to come home to Long Island yesterday.
Fire officials say the pilot reported engine failure, landed in a school baseball field and then skidded into a home.
