Residents in the South Bronx say they have not heard anything about the proposed Major League Soccer stadium in months.

Residents tell News 12 The Bronx that they have not heard anything concrete about the stadium that is supposed to be built on the corner of East 153rd Street and River Avenue. A town hall meeting was held in January, but Cary Goodman, president of the 161st Street Business Improvement District, says there has been nothing since.

Some published reports say the deal for the stadium fell through between the NYC Football Club and GAL Manufacturing, which would need to relocate its building so the stadium could be built. The reports have not been confirmed by either party.

"It's really concerning that we have to hear things through rumors," says Killian Jordan, who is against having the stadium built in the South Bronx.

Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.'s office says it has heard the same rumors, but has no details to report.
