Some Selden residents say the town is not heeding their requests to fill potholes.
Residents on King Avenue say they have reached out to the town multiple times but have not heard back.
"I probably have called about 25 [times] this season alone with exact addresses," said resident Shari Brauer – who sat in one of the potholes in front of News 12 cameras.
Eric Leonard said he has spent roughly $1,000 to fix his wife's car.
"This car is getting beat to death. It's over 10 years old and I want to buy her a new one. But I can't, with good faith, spend money on a new car to just watch it get destroyed like this," said Leonard.
News 12 Long Island did see a highway crew filling potholes on Ruland Road Wednesday. News 12 was told that crews were also sent to Mallard and King avenues earlier this week.
Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent Dan Losquadro said in a statement that he is well-aware of the conditions of the roads in Selden. He said the roads are on the 2018 paving schedule and will be resurfaced.
The Town of Brookhaven told News 12 that the paving will begin in April, if weather permits.
