Section VIII confirms decision to push Nassau high school sports until 2021

Section VIII's Board of Superintendent's had already decided to postpone sports until next year, but later said it would leave the door open to possibly change that decision.

Section VIII reaffirmed its decision to push all Nassau County public high school sports until 2021.
Section VIII's Board of Superintendent's had already decided to postpone sports until next year, but later said it would leave the door open to possibly change that decision.
Nassau's current plan is to play all three seasons of sports later on in the school year. Section VIII has not yet released its actual season start dates, but says it will by the middle of next week.
The original decision was made via a made unanimously by 11 Nassau superintendents back in late August. Fall sports are due to start for regions that are going forward with them next week.
Section XI in Suffolk County also opted to push high school sports until 2021.
