Sears has been saved from liquidation.
A bankruptcy judge has approved the $5.2 billion plan by the iconic company's chairman Eddie Lampert to keep the business going.
The approval means some 425 stores and 45,000 jobs will be saved.
It is unclear at this point if any of those include Sears stores on Long Island.
